Specialised Investment Funds
SIF Coming soon
SEBI’s newest category, sitting between mutual funds and AIFs — more strategy freedom than a mutual fund, a lower entry point than an AIF.
Why this section is not live yet
We are not ready to publish numbers we cannot verify.
The category is still taking shape and few funds have a track record worth writing about. We will cover it properly as the first strategies build history.
What SIF actually is
- Minimum investment
- ₹10 lakh across all SIF strategies of a fund house.
- Why it exists
- To give retail-adjacent investors access to strategies mutual funds cannot run — long-short, sector rotation, derivatives-led.
- Who can offer it
- Established AMCs meeting SEBI’s eligibility criteria, under a brand distinct from their mutual fund business.
- Where it stands
- The framework is live and the first strategies are launching. There is not yet a meaningful track record for anyone to analyse.
